Static vs trailing drawdown
Static (FTMO, The5ers) — fixed floor at start equity − DD%. Doesn't move. Trailing (Apex, MyFundedFX, E8) — floor ratchets up with each new equity peak. Trailing → locks — same as trailing, but stops moving once profit hits a lock threshold (e.g. Apex locks at trailing-DD-amount profit).

Consistency rule
Many firms (FTMO, MyFundedFX, FundedNext) block payouts if any single day exceeds X% of total profit (typically 30% or 50%). Set the cap in the field above and the largest day will flag amber when over. Aim for spread, not spikes.
